Judith Bird has been a professional freelance artist since 1980. She has an interior design business based in Burlington, Connecticut, creating decorative wall paintings, murals, faux finishes, trompe l’oeil, hand painted furniture, and floor cloths. She also creates fine art paintings independently and by commission. Her work is displayed in many private homes, businesses, and public institutions in Connecticut and Massachusetts.
Judith teaches workshops and individual sessions in Expressive Art in the Connecticut area, including the towns of Burlington, Avon, and Canton, CT. She facilitates “Birth Art Workshops” for Motherwise Midwifery Care, in Mansfield, CT. She assists her clients in creating health and wellbeing through a natural process that combines meditation, exploring personal imagery, and self-expression with simple art materials. Judith has taught at Farmington Valley Art Center in Avon, CT, Poetry Alive through Litchfield Performing Arts and currently teaches at Hunter Montessori School in New Hartford, CT.
Judith graduated from The College of New Jersey, with a BA in Art Therapy. She is qualified as an Expressive Arts Educational Facilitator through Salve Regina University in Newport, Rhode Island.
