I work by commission, consulting with clients to gather themes, symbols, colors, and ideas to create a personally meaningful work of art. Commissioned paintings (or painted furniture) can honor a person and/or a life passage, including pregnancy, birth, birthdays, adolescent coming of age, weddings, house warming, graduations, etc. They can also be created with the intent to soothe and to heal, as in my work for Seacrest Retirement Center in West Haven, CT., and Worthington Manor in Berlin, CT., where I have been commissioned to paint murals in community rooms, and a series of over 40 paintings for residents private rooms.
